Partners to Fight MRSA Epidemic

Elkhart, IN- Indiana based Sports-O-Zone has joined sports equipment company Rogers to help alleviate the growing number of staph and MRSA infections. Rogers, a leader in the sporting industry, anticipates great results from its union with Sports-O-Zone.

Sports-O-Zone’s patented sanitizing system uses the power of the ozone to eliminate bacteria. Its design allows for treating more equipment at one time than other currently available techniques. Ozone manages bacteria in a natural way and ranks ahead of hydrogen peroxide, bleach, and iodine as both an oxidant and disinfectant. According to Rik Kain, Director of Operations at Sports-O-Zone, “The technology will make life a lot easier for athletes worried about contracting these diseases.” Ozone is odorless, free of residue, and is nature’s way of distilling the atmosphere. Rogers aims to “make sporting equipment safer, better, and easier to use.” By adding Sports-O-Zone to their product line, they have added the safest available product for destroying harmful bacteria on athletic equipment.  Mark Eades, Director of Sales at Sports-O-Zone states “Our Company’s main concerns are safety, performance, and convenience, and Rogers definitely shares this philosophy."

Sports-O-Zone’s unique system is the top choice for 12 NFL teams, several universities including Ohio State, as well as numerous high schools. Steve Urbaniak, Equipment Manager for the San Francisco 49ers states “the Sports-O-Zone sanitizing unit performed well beyond our expectations.” Rogers and Sports-O-Zone are dedicated to the safety and well-being of athletes; this partnership provides the chance to prove it.
